South Western Railway Scouts and Guides Quota 2025-26 Indicative Notification out through Employment News paper dated 18th October 2025 Issue: The South Western Railway (SWR) Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Hubballi (Hubli) invites online applications from eligible Indian candidates for recruitment of 03 posts in Level-2 and 08 posts in Level-1 against Scouts & Guides Quota on South Western Railway and Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka for the year 2025-26. The closing date for receipt of online applications is 20th November 2025.

Post Level No of Vacancies Level-2 03 (02 posts on South Western Railway and 01 post for Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka) Level-1 08 (02 posts each for Hubballi, Bengaluru & Mysuru Divisions and Rail Wheel Factory, Yelahanka)
✔️ For Level-2: 18 to 30 years as on 1st January 2025. ✔️ For Level-1: 18 to 33 years as on 1st January 2025. ✔️ Age Relaxation - 05 years for SC / ST, 03 years for OBC and others as per GoI Rules.

✔️ Level 2: Passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. 50% marks is not insisted upon in the case of SC/ST/Ex. Servicemen/Persons with Disabilities (PWD) candidates. 50% marks is also not insisted upon in the case of candidates who possess qualifications higher than the essential minimum prescribed qualification. Educational Qualification must be from Recognized Institutions (OR) Matriculation Plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship/ ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT with not less than 50% marks in aggregate. 50% marks is not insisted upon in the case of SC/ST/Ex. Servicemen/Persons With Disabilities (PWD) candidates. 50% marks is also not insisted upon in the case of candidates who possess qualifications higher than the essential minimum prescribed qualification. Educational Qualification must be from Recognized Institutions.
✔️ Level 1: Candidates should possess the qualification of 10th Pass or ITI or equivalent. Candidates appearing and/or awaiting results of the final examinations of 10th or ITI or equivalent on the date of application are not eligible to apply. Educational Qualification must be from Recognized Institutions.
The following qualification would apply for recruitment of Scouts & Guides to posts in Level-2 and Level-1.
(a) A President Scout/ Guide/ Rover/ Ranger OR Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB) holder in any section; (b) Should have been an active member of a Scouts organization for the last 5 years. The ‘Certificate of Activeness’; and (c) Should have attended two events at National level OR All Indian Railways' level AND two events at State level.
Candidates who apply in response to the notification and meet the eligibility requirements for appointment under the Scout & Guides quota will be evaluated based on the following criteria:-
Written Test 60 Marks Marks on Certificates 40 Marks
✔️ ₹ 500/- for General and OBC Category Candidates ✔️ ₹ 250/- for SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes.
