1. Educational Qualification

Post Code 01: Junior Engineer (Mechanical) - 03 Posts

• Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Full Time/Regular)
• Experience: Minimum 16 years of post qualification experience in construction/supervision of project in Hydrocarbon Industry (Hydrocarbon process plants, Hydrocarbon/Crude/Petroleum product/Oil/Gas Steel pipelines, Petrochemical plant, LPG plant, Refinery/POL depot, Gas compressor station, Petroleum product pumping station)
• Marks Required: 60% for UR/OBC/EWS, 55% for SC/ST/PwD

Post Code 02: Junior Engineer (Mechanical) with NDT - 05 Posts

• Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering & NDT Level-2 Certification (Full Time/Regular)
• Experience: Minimum 16 years of post qualification experience in construction/supervision of project in Hydrocarbon industry
• Marks Required: 60% for UR/OBC/EWS, 55% for SC/ST/PwD

Post Code 03: Junior Engineer (Civil) - 25 Posts

• Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering (Full Time/Regular)
• Experience: Minimum 16 years of post qualification experience in Design/Site Supervision for Building Construction/Industrial projects
• Marks Required: 60% for UR/OBC/EWS, 55% for SC/ST/PwD

Post Code 04: Junior Engineer (Civil) - 05 Posts

• Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering (Full Time/Regular)
• Experience: Minimum 16 years of post qualification experience in Construction/Supervision of Industrial project preferably in Hydrocarbon Industry

Post Code 06: Junior Officer (HR) - 02 Posts

• Qualification: BBA / Graduate in any degree (Regular/Full Time/Open and Distance learning mode from UGC recognized university)
• Experience: Minimum 16 years of post qualification experience in entire gamut of HR
• Marks Required: 60% for UR/OBC/EWS, 55% for SC/ST/PwD

Post Code 07: Junior Officer (Admin) - 02 Posts

• Qualification: BBA / Graduate in any degree (Regular/Full Time/Open and Distance learning mode from UGC recognized university)
• Experience: Minimum 16 years of post qualification experience in administrative work
• Marks Required: 60% for UR/OBC/EWS, 55% for SC/ST/PwD

Important Notes on Qualification:

• The requisite educational qualification for post code 01 to 05 should have been acquired through a Regular/Full Time Course only
• For post code 06 & 07 it should be acquired through Regular/Full Time/Open and Distance learning mode from UGC recognized university
• Rounding of percentage (%) will not be acceptable under any circumstances i.e. 59.99% will not be rounded off as 60%
• Wherever percentage of marks is not awarded and only grades are awarded, on a 10-point scale grade of 6.0 will be considered as 60%

• Age Relaxation:
  • 5 Years for SC/ST candidates
  • 3 Years for OBC (NCL) candidates
  • 10 Years for PwD (UR) candidates
  • 13 Years for PwD (OBC NCL) candidates
  • 15 Years for PwD (SC/ST) candidates
  • 5 Years for candidates who are domicile of J&K during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989
  • As per Government guidelines for Ex-Servicemen
• Additional Age Relaxation: 01 year of age relaxation for every 01 year of additional experience, limited to maximum 03 years only

3. Nationality

Stage 4: Document Verification

• All original certificates/documents must be produced at the time of interview
• If any claim is not substantiated, candidate will not be allowed to appear for interview

Stage 5: Medical Examination

• Selected candidates will undergo Medical Examination
• Joining shall be subject to being found medically fit by Medical Board of Company's Hospital (Ispat Hospital, Shyamali, Ranchi)
• Decision of Medical Board will be final and binding

Final Selection:

• Final list of selected candidates will be uploaded on MECON's website
• Candidates will be informed about reporting date through registered email IDs
• The mode of selection may be changed at the discretion of Management

8. Upload required documents:
