Qualification
Essential Educational Qualification
- The candidate should hold a Bachelor's or Master's or Doctorate degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Dairy Chemistry or Agriculture Science or Animal Science or Fisheries Science or Biotechnology or Food Safety or Food Technology or Food and Nutrition or Dairy Technology or Oil Technology or Veterinary Sciences from a university established in India by law
- Or is an associate of the Institution of Chemists (India) by examination in the section of Food Analysts conducted by the Institution of Chemists (India)
Essential Experience
- The candidate should possess not less than three years' experience in the analysis of food in any institution, research institutions, or research laboratory after attaining the minimum essential academic qualification specified above for 11th FAE 2025
- The qualified Junior Analysts after acquiring 3 years' mandatory experience in analysis of food can appear only in Practical Examination of 11th FAE 2025 conducted after the Computer Based Test
- The opportunity for appearing in Practical examination for Junior Analysts after acquiring 3 years of experience will be provided only once
- Upon qualifying the practical examination, the Junior Analyst will become eligible to be declared as Food Analysts
- This opportunity is available to qualified JAE only once in a lifetime

Application Form Fees
| Examination Stage | Fee Amount |
| Computer Based Test (CBT) | ₹2,500 plus 18% GST (Total: ₹2,950) |
| Practical Examination | ₹5,000 plus 18% GST (Total: ₹5,900) |
- The fee should be submitted through online mode which is non-refundable
- There is no reservation in whatsoever form since this is not for employment
Selection Process
- The 11th Food Analyst Examination will be conducted in two stages: Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Practical Examination
- Only candidates who qualify the Computer Based Test (CBT) as per the laid down criteria and fulfil the eligibility requirements will be allowed to appear in Practical Examination
- Dates of Practical examination will be intimated separately to qualified candidates
- The examination comprises both theoretical knowledge assessment through CBT and practical skills evaluation through hands-on practical examination
- Upon successful completion of both CBT and Practical Examination, candidates must complete a two-week mandatory Food Analysts training from 25th May 2026 to 5th June 2026
- Certificates will be issued to successful candidates after completion of the mandatory training on 5th June 2026
- Candidates successfully completing all stages will be certified as Food Analysts by FSSAI
Form Apply Process
Step 1: Registration Process
- Visit the official Food Safety and Standards Authority of India Portal at https://fssai.formsubmit.in
- Click on the "Register" menu on the homepage
- Enter your full name as per official documents
- Create and set your username for profile login
- Provide a valid and active email ID
- Enter your mobile number during registration
- Set a strong password for profile login
- Click on the "Sign Up" button to proceed
- Enter the OTP received on your registered email and mobile number to complete the registration process
- Once registration is successful, you will receive a user ID and password via email
- After successful verification of email ID and mobile number, you will be redirected to the login page
Step 2: Login to Portal
- Click on the "Login" menu on the homepage of FSSAI Portal at https://fssai.formsubmit.in
- Enter the user ID and password received via email after successful registration
- Click on the "Login" button to access your dashboard
- If you forget the password, click on the "Forget Password" button and follow the password recovery steps
Step 3: Fill Application Form
- After successful login, you will see the candidate dashboard
- In the dashboard, you can view current exam openings, previous/incomplete applications, and admit card details
- To apply for 11th Food Analyst Examination (11th FAE) 2025-26, click on the apply button in the corresponding examination row
Step 4: Complete Application Steps
- Fill Personal Details accurately as per your official documents
- Enter Details of Academic Qualification with proper certificates
- Provide complete Work Experience Details with supporting documents
- Select your preferred Examination Centre Choice
- Upload all required Document Details in the specified format
- Read and accept the Declaration by Candidate
- Make Payment for Application Form through online payment gateway
- Download and save the completed Application form for future reference
