Essential Qualification: M.Sc. Degree in Meteorology / Atmospheric Science with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks (average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of a minimum of 6.84 on a 10 scale or equivalent.
Level 10 (Rs. 56,100/- + applicable allowances) Purely on contract basis for a period of 3 years and are not entitled for annual increment.
28 years Minimum age is 18 years. Ex-Servicemen, Meritorious Sportspersons & Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) are eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India Orders.

The selection to the position will be based on the performance in the interview. Initial screening of applications will be conducted to short-list meritorious candidates for interview and the final selection will be based on the performance of the candidates in the interview. The interview will be scheduled at VSSC, Thiruvananthapuram.
The above vacancies may vary depending upon the actual requirement. The Centre reserves the right not to fill up any of the vacancies, if it so decides. At present, the place of posting is VSSC, Thiruvananthapuram, but the selected candidate is liable to be posted in any of the Centres/Units of the Indian Space Research Organisation/Department of Space situated in India, as and when required. Only Indian Nationals need to apply. Candidates working under Central/State Government, Public Sector Undertakings, Autonomous bodies etc. should submit 'No objection certificate' from the present employer at the time of interview. Candidates possessing Degrees awarded by foreign universities should produce the equivalency certificate issued by Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, at the time of interview. Candidates will have to produce the proof of the details furnished in their applications submitted online as and when required. Misrepresentation, hiding or falsification of facts etc. detected at any stage of the selection process, will result in cancellation of candidature, without any notice, and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
