A relaxation of 5% shall be provided, (from 55% to 50% of the marks) to the Ph.D. Degree holders who have obtained their Master's Degree Prior to 19 September,1991 The qualifications regulations/norms stipulated and other service conditions prescribed in the present advertisement are as per the Gazette Notification of UGC Regulations,2018 (Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and Other Academic Staff in University) and subsequent amendments, if any shall be applicable as amended from time to time. The minimum requirement for a consistently 'good academic record' should be 55% marks (or equivalent grade on a point scale where grading system is followed) at the Master's level, and at least 50% marks (or equivalent grade on a point scale where grading system is followed) in the Graduation Examinations or equivalent degree from an Indian/Foreign University, and qualifying in an equivalent examination like SLET/SET recognized by UGC, CSIR, or UGC. The prescribed qualifications and experience are minimum and the mere fact that a candidate possesses the same will not entitle him/her to be called for the personal interview. No TA/DA shall be paid to candidates for attending the Screening Test/Personal Interview. Appointed teachers may be assigned other academic or administrative responsibilities in addition to their regular teaching and research. The language of administration in the University is Gujarati. However, knowledge of the English language is highly desirable. The selected candidate including in-service candidate shall be governed by the Act/Statutes/Ordinance/Regulations/Rules of the Shri Govind Guru University, Godhra and as amended from time to time and any other Rules/Resolution as prescribed specifically for maintaining the code of conduct of the employees by the University.
