Master's degree in Mechanical/Materials/Production/Chemical Engineering or related disciplines from a recognised university with first class. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Materials/Production/Chemical Engineering or related disciplines from a recognised university with first class. A good understanding of microstructural characterization and corrosion analysis is desirable.
For Junior Research Fellow: Rs. 37,000/- + 20% HRA per month for candidates with valid GATE score in Mechanical/Materials/Production/Chemical Engineering. For Project Associate I: Rs. 30,000/- + 20% HRA per month for candidates who do not fall under the JRF criteria.

Shortlisting of eligible candidates based on submitted application and documents. Online interview for shortlisted candidates.
The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of information, other documents and photograph submitted. After shortlisting, the eligible candidates will be notified by email and are invited for the interview. The Institute reserves the right to relax qualification and experience for candidates with exceptional credentials. Applicants who are already in employment (government or any other organization) are required to submit a "No Objection Certificate" from the employer at the time of interview along with the required documents. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview. Selected candidate will have an opportunity to appear for PhD admission at NIT Calicut. Duration of engagement is 04 months, extendable up to the end of the project. Name of the sponsoring agency: NPOL, DRDO.
