Candidates must have been declared successful in their qualifying degree examination and must be completing their tenure for the same before the date of interview. Applicants should not have completed 3 years of Senior Residency under the Residency Scheme in any Government medical institution, whether on regular or on ad-hoc/contract basis. If a large number of applications are received, shortlisting of candidates for interview will be done based on a written test. The decision of the Executive Director, AIIMS Gorakhpur regarding selection and shortlisting shall be final and binding. Based on bio-data, the Search cum Selection Committee may also shortlist candidates for interview. The appointment is initially for a period of 1 year which may be extended up to 3 years depending on performance and conduct. The vacancies are provisional and subject to variation; the Executive Director, AIIMS Gorakhpur reserves the right to vary vacancies including reserved vacancies as per Government of India rules and requirements. The appointment shall be as per Government of India’s Residency Scheme and can be terminated at any time on either side by giving one month’s notice or by paying one month’s salary. The appointee will be on whole-time appointment of AIIMS and shall not accept any other assignment or engage in private practice during the period of contract.
