Professor (Editing):

(a) Degree from a recognized university.
(b) Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Editing from a reputed institution.
(c) At least 13 years of professional or teaching experience in editing. (OR)
(a) Master’s Degree in Arts (preferably Literature/Theatre/Film Studies).
(b) 15 years of professional experience, including 5 years of teaching.

Assistant Professor (Sound Recording & Design):

(a) Degree from a recognized university.
(b) Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Sound Recording.
(c) At least 3 years of professional or teaching experience in sound recording.

Animator:

(a) Degree in Fine Arts or equivalent.
(b) Certificate/Diploma in 3D Animation Software and Computer Graphics (minimum 6 months).
(c) At least 3 years of experience in animation/graphics.

Personal Assistant:

(a) Degree from a recognized university.
(b) Certificate in Stenography.
(c) Minimum speed of 100/40 w.p.m. in English Shorthand/Typewriting.
(d) Knowledge of computers.

Camera Assistant:

(a) Matriculation or equivalent.
(b) At least 3 years of experience as a camera attendant for film and digital equipment.

Projection Assistant:

(a) Matriculation or equivalent.
(b) Certificate of competence or License in Film Projection.
(c) At least 3 years of experience as an Assistant Projection Room Operator or Projectionist.

Lighting Assistant:

(a) Matriculation or ITI (Electrical) passed.
(b) Relevant License for 3-phase 440-volt electric line work.
(c) At least 4 years of experience in a film studio or equivalent organization.

• Professor (Editing): Not exceeding 52 years.
• Assistant Professor (Sound): Not exceeding 37 years.
• Animator: Not exceeding 32 years.
• Personal Assistant: Not exceeding 32 years.
• Camera Assistant: Not exceeding 27 years.
• Projection Assistant: Not exceeding 27 years.
• Lighting Assistant: Not exceeding 27 years.
• Age relaxation applicable as per Government of India rules.

• General / OBC / EWS: ₹ 1200/- per post.
• SC / ST / PWD / Female: Nil (Exempted).
• Payment Mode: Online via SBI Collect.

Eligible candidates must apply online through the SRFTI application portal. Follow these steps:-

1. Visit the SRFTI application link and fill out the online form.
2. Pay the application fee of ₹ 1200/- via SBI Collect under “Application Fees (Recruitment).”
3. Upload the payment receipt (if applicable) during form submission.
4. Take a printout of the Google response receipt received via email.
5. Send the hard copy of the filled application, payment receipt, and requisite documents (degree, experience certificates, etc.) to: The Registrar, Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute, EM Bypass Road, Panchasayar, Kolkata - 700094 by 11th September 2025 (5:00 PM).

• Assistant Professor (Sound): ₹ 56,100–1,77,500/- (Level-10).
• Animator: ₹ 44,900–1,42,400/- (Level-7).
• Personal Assistant: ₹ 35,400–1,12,400/- (Level-6).
• Camera Assistant: ₹ 25,500–81,100/- (Level-4).
• Projection Assistant: ₹ 19,900–63,200/- (Level-2).
• Lighting Assistant: ₹ 19,900–63,200/- (Level-2).
