For Post Graduate Teacher (Arts)

• The candidate must possess a) Post Graduation in Arts from a recognized University with minimum 55% of marks in both Graduation and Post-Graduation in the respective subject and b) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).

For Post Graduate Teacher (Science)

• The candidate must possess a) Post Graduate Degree in Science from a recognized University with minimum 55% of marks in both Graduation and Post-Graduation in the respective subject and b) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).
• In pursuance of the Govt. OM No. ASE-238/2014/213, dtd. 22.11.2019, those institutions having territorial jurisdiction outside the State of Assam but having a study centre in the State and such study centres if not recognized by DEC under UGC, the degrees/ certificates issued by such off campus institutions shall not be considered as valid for the purpose of employment. However, valid degrees/diplomas conferred by KKHSOU, IGNOU, IDOL under Gauhati University and Distance Education under Dibrugarh University shall be considered as valid for the purpose of engagement.
• As Adarsha Vidyalayas are CBSE affiliated English medium Secondary Schools, the candidates must have efficiency to teach in English.
• Apart from the competency in Major subject, he/she must be proficient to teach two additional subjects.

For Graduate Teacher (Arts and Arts-English)

• The candidate must be: a) A Graduate in Arts with Major in English subject from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks in major subject for Graduate Teacher (Arts). b) A Graduate in Arts with Major in English subject from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks in major subject for Graduate Teacher (Arts-English). c) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).

For Graduate Teacher (Science and Mathematics)

• The candidate must be: a) A Graduate in Science with Major (Hons/Pass) with a minimum in a recognized University with minimum 55% marks in major subject for Graduate Teacher (Science). b) A Graduate in Science with Major in Mathematics subject from a recognized University with minimum 55% marks in major subject for Graduate Teacher (Mathematics). c) Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).

For Graduate Teacher (Hindi)

• Parvini/ Ratna in Hindi with 55% marks and degree qualification with 55% marks or post Graduate degree in Arts with 55% marks. with Pravir/ Ratna in Hindi with 55% marks from any recognized University. OR BA with 55% marks and having Hindi as one of the subjects with 55% marks or post degree in Arts with 55% marks provided Hindi is to be passed in with 55% marks as one of the subject (PARANGAT to be treated as B.Ed degree from any recognized University). B.Ed. degree from any recognized University (PARANGAT to be treated as B.Ed degree for the purpose of Hindi teaching).

• For the post of Assistant Teacher (Science), the candidate must be: a) A Graduate in Science from recognized University with a minimum 55% marks and b) Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized Institution(s).

• Selection of Candidates shall be made by following Teaching Proficiency Test of Short Test by the competent authority on following criteria:
  • Subject mastery, In-depth knowledge of teaching
  • Teaching Methodology, In-depth of subject knowledge, Teaching skill, aptitude, class demonstration & Participatory way of teaching
  • Writing Skill
  • General knowledge and current affairs
  • Over-all performance and presentation
  • Experience and expertise in co-curricular activities
• The on-line applications received shall be shortlisted on the basis of merit on requisite Teaching Proficiency Test (TPT). After finalization of the short list of the candidates shall be called for documents verification. If the applicants are found to have made false declarations or have submitted information false/forged documents in the on-line application format, or submission without application fee shall be summarily rejected.
• The shortlisted candidates shall be notified mentioning date, time and venue, through the official website where they have to present copies of self attested testimonials and academic and other supporting documents. Applicants failing to produce original documents or supporting documents as required shall be rejected. Candidates of applicants failing to appear for document verification process as per notified schedule will be cancelled automatically.
• Adequate number of candidates shall be called for a Teaching Proficiency Test. The Teaching Proficiency Test shall be conducted through a duly constituted Panel/Board.
• After the Teaching Proficiency Test, the shortlist of selected candidates shall be prepared and accordingly the final list of selected candidates shall be uploaded in the official website https://avs.assam.gov.in and also shall be intimated to the selected candidates through email.

• The eligible candidates shall apply online in the official website https://avs.assam.gov.in where the link for on-line application shall shortly verified/available.
• No offline application shall be entertained and no hard copy upload.
• The Online Application and documents submitted by the candidates will be verified along with their original testimonials.
• All candidates will report to Assam. The detailed schedule and venue for Screening/ Verification of documents will be notified in the official website.
• No TA/DA or admission for verification process.
• District wise verification will be conducted centrally by Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan.
• Candidates will be informed collectively in the official website by the competent authority of Adarsha Vidyalaya's Sangathan.
