Doctoral degree in Agricultural Sciences including relevant basic sciences with 8 years’ experience in the relevant subject as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or equivalent in Pay Band-3 with specified Grade Pay or higher, with contributions to research/teaching/extension as evidenced by published work/innovations and impact; OR Doctoral degree in Agricultural Sciences including relevant basic sciences with minimum 8 years’ experience of high-quality postdoctoral research in an institution/organization with at least 6 publications in journals with NAAS rating of 7.5 or above. Desirable: Experience in frontline extension, co-ordination and monitoring of extension programmes; for the Chinyalisaur, Uttarakashi KVK post, at least 08 years’ experience of working in hilly areas with specialization in implementing horticultural extension education programmes in hilly areas. The post of Senior Scientist-cum-Head, KVK in ICAR Research Institutes carries the pay scale of Research Level-13A in the 7th CPC pay matrix, i.e. Rs. 1,31,400–2,17,100 (equivalent to pre-revised PB-4 Rs. 37400–67000 with Grade Pay Rs. 9,000). Candidates must fulfill the prescribed essential and desirable qualifications and eligibility criteria as clearly specified in the notification. Short-listing of candidates for being called for interview will be done based on the Score Card system applicable for the post of Senior Scientist, which is also applicable for the post of Senior Scientist-cum-Head, KVK. Shortlisted applicants must appear for personal interview on the scheduled date and place as decided by the Board; travelling or other expenses for attending interview are not defrayed by the Board. The decision of the Board regarding eligibility and selection based on evaluation of applications and records shall be final.
