Candidates must possess the following essential qualifications for the Senior Project Associate position: MSc (Environmental Science) or BE/BTech (Environmental/Chemical/Mechanical/Civil) from a recognized University with three years’ experience in R&D in Industrial and Academic Institution or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services, OR M.E./M.Tech. (Environmental/Mechanical/Chemical/Civil) from a recognized University, OR Ph.D./Doctoral Degree in Engineering Science/Physical Sciences from a recognized University with two years’ experience in R&D in Industrial and Academic Institution or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services. Desirable: Knowledge of EIA, compliance, laws, and regulations; experience with government agencies or environmental projects; good communication skills; willingness to travel. Only those candidates who have acquired the essential qualification and whose result has been declared (having at least a provisional certificate) are eligible to appear for the position. The age limit for CSIR-NEERI Senior Project Associate Recruitment 2026 is as follows: Maximum Age: 40 years Age calculation date: Upper age limit shall be reckoned as on the last date of receipt of applications. Age Relaxation: As per CSIR guidelines and applicable rules. Senior Project Associate: Rs. 42,000/- per month + HRA. Candidates will be selected based on the following process: Walk-in-Interview at CSIR-NEERI, Delhi Regional Centre (DRC). Screening of candidates based on essential qualifications, experience, and other criteria as per Screening Committee, if large number of candidates appear. Final selection subject to verification of original documents and fulfillment of eligibility conditions. Note: No TA will be paid to candidates for appearing in the interview in case of offline interviews. Eligible candidates can appear for the walk-in-interview for CSIR-NEERI Senior Project Associate 2026 by following these steps: Event Date Walk-in-Interview Date 11th February 2026 Reporting Time 9:30 am to 11:00 am (Gate will be closed by 11:00 am) The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project “Development of 3 Tier Monitoring Mechanism for Ensuring Compliance of Environmental Conditions (CNP-2730)” and does not confer any right for regularization in CSIR/CSIR-NEERI. Total tenure of project staff in CSIR-NEERI/other CSIR labs under contract R&D projects shall not exceed six or seven years as per CSIR OM No. 5-1(342)/2017-PD dated 02.09.2024. Result awaited/final semester appeared or Ph.D. submitted candidates are not eligible where minimum essential qualification is mandatory; final semester and result awaited candidates are not allowed to appear for the interview. Experience will be counted only after acquiring minimum educational qualification; dissertation/thesis work during academics will not be treated as experience. Time spent in acquiring higher qualification will not be counted as experience over essential qualification. Mere fulfilling of minimum qualification does not guarantee being called for interview; in case of large number of candidates, preference will be as per criteria adopted by the Screening Committee. No upgradation of project staff shall be done in the same or new project; candidates must apply afresh for new positions. CSIR-NEERI reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the engagement offer at any stage in case of any discrepancy in candidature. Selected candidates must complete pre-appointment formalities like medical examination and character verification and are expected to join within the time frame mentioned in the offer letter. Each selected candidate shall sign an undertaking for maintaining confidentiality of project findings and associated intellectual property. Engagement may be extended or curtailed depending on project duration, performance, or conduct, and may be terminated at any time by giving one month’s notice from either side or payment in lieu as decided by the Competent Authority. Project staff have to make their own accommodation arrangements during the project tenure; HRA is admissible as per rules. CSIR guidelines for engagement of project personnel as per OM No. 5-1(342)/2017-PD dated 02.09.2024/18.10.2024 and amendments shall apply. No TA will be paid for appearing in the interview in case of offline interviews. 3. Bring a duly filled application form in the prescribed format attached with the advertisement.
4. Carry one passport-size photograph and Aadhaar card.
5. Bring original and one set of photocopies of 10th (SSC), 12th (HSC), Graduate/PG mark sheets, degree certificates, and experience certificates.
6. Attend the interview as per instructions given by CSIR-NEERI, Delhi Regional Centre (DRC).
