Qualifications: A Ph.D. with first class or equivalent in an appropriate branch is required. Candidates with an outstanding R&D track record in fields relevant to SINP are preferred. Essential Experience: Analogous Pay Level (16) or 5 years experience in Pay Levels 14 & 15 (Combined) managing a large scientific community or heading a reputed scientific institution. Excellent publication record, leadership experience, and national/international recognition are also essential. Experience in project implementation is necessary. Desirable: Familiarity with government administrative and financial matters and managerial experience in a large research laboratory are desirable.
Candidate shall not be less than 50 years of age and shall not be more than 57 years of age as on the closing date of receiving application i.e. 31 January 2026.
Appointment will be made by the Government of India on the recommendations of a Search-cum-Selection Committee. The Searchcum-Selection Committee constituted for the purpose of selection of the Director will consider applications received in response to this advertisement as well as nominations received from eminent persons.
