Maximum tenure of engagement for teaching faculty will be till 70 years of age, subject to rules and regulations. Post Academic Qualification Teaching/Experience Requirements Professor MD/MS in the concerned subject (a) Associate Professor in the subject for three years in a recognized medical institution OR Specialist Medical Officer of the Armed Forces with at least three years’ experience as Associate Professor in relevant specialty in a teaching hospital of the Armed Forces; (b) At least two research publications after becoming Associate Professor (amongst first three authors); completion of Basic Course in Biomedical Research; and requirement to undergo Basic Course in Medical Education where applicable. Note: Senior Consultant with specified postgraduate teaching experience in NBE-recognized government institute is also eligible as per detailed note. Associate Professor MD/MS in the concerned subject (a) Assistant Professor in the subject for four years in a recognized medical institution or five years where directly appointed as Assistant Professor in Government medical institution OR Specialist Medical Officer of the Armed Forces with at least five years’ clinical experience (three years teaching as Assistant Professor) in teaching hospital of the Armed Forces; (b) At least two research publications after becoming Assistant Professor (amongst first three authors); completion of Basic Course in Biomedical Research and Basic Course in Medical Education as per norms. Note: Non-teaching Consultant/Specialist/Medical Officer with PG degree and ten years’ experience in 220-bedded Government hospital may also be eligible as per detailed note. Assistant Professor MD/MS in the concerned subject (a) One year as Senior Resident in the concerned subject in a recognized medical institution OR (b) Specialist Medical Officer of the Armed Forces with at least one year teaching or two years clinical experience after PG; OR (c) Non-teaching Consultant/Specialist/Medical Officer with PG degree and at least two years’ experience in 220-bedded Government hospital; OR (d) Diploma holders with four years’ experience as Senior Resident as per specified dates; OR (e) Diploma holders with cumulative six years’ experience as Specialist/Medical Officer in specified settings. 1. Download and fill the prescribed Application Form as per the notification.
2. Send scanned copy of the duly filled Application Form along with supporting documents by email to on or before 10.01.2026 up to 05:00 PM.
3. Prepare a Demand Draft of applicable Interview Fee (if payable) in favour of “ESI Fund A/c No.-1”, payable at Varanasi.
4. On the date of interview, carry the Original Application Form, all original supporting documents and original Demand Draft to the Office of the Dean, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, 2nd Floor, Pandeypur, Varanasi (UP) – 221002 between 09:00 AM and 11:00 AM for verification.
5. Ensure that all required documents (DOB proof, MBBS and PG marksheets and degree, experience certificates, valid category certificates, updated medical registration, publications, Aadhaar, and training certificates where applicable) are attached as self-attested copies with the application.
