High Court of Allahabad has announced the recruitment of Special Judicial Magistrates for two districts in Uttar Pradesh. These positions are on a fixed honorarium basis with conveyance allowance. The recruitment is open for Government servants or former Government employees who possess legal qualifications or have extensive experience in legal affairs.
District Vacancy Position Gonda 1 Special Judicial Magistrate Jalaun (Orai) 1 Special Judicial Magistrate
Status: Must be a Government servant (current or former) OR has held any post under the Government of India/State Government/Union Territory Educational Qualification: Must possess: Law degree (LL.B. from a recognized university), OR Be well-experienced in relation to legal affairs to the satisfaction of the High Court Professional Background: Experience in legal matters, judicial work, or administrative/legal roles under Government is an advantage
Term of Office: 4 years from the date of assumption of charge OR attaining the age of 70 years, whichever is earlier Age Limit: No specific upper age limit mentioned, but term ends at age 70 Transferability: A candidate appointed for a specific district shall NOT be transferred to any other district under any circumstances
Ex-SJMs appointed by Government of Uttar Pradesh do NOT need to submit character roll entries Ex-SJMs applying for re-appointment must enclose four best judgments delivered while holding the post of SJM/SMM
