Essential: Master's Degree in Soil Science / Geology / Geography / Soil & Water Conservation Engineering / Water Resources / Geo-informatics / Remote Sensing & GIS / Computer Application with 4/5 years of Bachelor degree. Candidates having Master Degree in the above subjects with 3 years Bachelor Degree must have NET qualification. Minimum one year experience in handling GIS software like ARC GIS, ERDAS Imagine, Q-GIS, ENVI, hardware and networking.
Emoluments: Rs. 49,000/- per month + HRA as admissible. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the duration of the project, and the engagement is initially up to June 2026 or till further orders subject to satisfactory performance.
Maximum age: 40 years for men. Maximum age: 45 years for women. Age relaxation: SC/ST/OBC/PwD as per rules. The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the date of Interview.

Selection will be through Walk-in-Interview for the advertised temporary position under the World Bank funded programme “Rejuvenating Watershed for Agricultural Resilience through Innovative Development (REWARD)”. In case the number of candidates is large, the competent authority reserves the right to fix criteria to limit the candidates on the basis of qualification, experience, etc. The engagement can be discontinued owing to administrative reasons at any time.
The eligible candidates are invited for Walk-in-Interview on 03.02.2026 at 10.00 a.m. for the temporary position purely on contractual basis under the World Bank funded REWARD programme at ICAR-IISWC, Research Centre, Sunabeda, Dist. Koraput (Odisha). The engagement for System Manager will be initially up to June 2026 till further orders and is purely temporary and co-terminus with the duration of the project subject to satisfactory performance. The selected candidates will be initially posted at Research Centre, Koraput; they can be posted anywhere within Odisha State as per the requirement of the project without any extra payment except emoluments. Project sites are located at Koraput and Nabarangpur. The positions are purely time bound, temporary on co-terminus basis with the project and do not entitle the appointee to any claim implicit or explicit on any ICAR post. Only passed out candidates are eligible to apply; candidates awaiting final results are not eligible and need not apply. No TA/DA will be paid either for attending the interview or to the selected candidate to join the position. The selected candidate may leave the assignment at his/her own volition by giving one month’s notice or one month’s emoluments in lieu thereof. The candidate appearing for the above position should have good health. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature. The Director, ICAR-IISWC, Dehradun reserves the right to withdraw the advertisement or selection process at any stage without assigning any reason or notice; the decision will be final and binding in all respects. If the applicant’s declaration regarding relative(s) working in the ICAR system is found false or wilfully suppressed at any stage, the candidature/selection will be liable to be rejected/terminated besides other action.
