Candidates must possess a Doctoral Degree in Science or a Master's Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university or equivalent. A first author peer-reviewed publication in infectious disease/virology research and experience in virus research, mammalian cell culture, virus assays, protein expression and purification, and molecular biology techniques are required.

The appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or compensation on termination of the research project. The selected candidate will have no claim of appointment/absorption in the funding agency or in IISER Tirupati. Appointment will be governed by the terms and conditions of the funding agency, applicable to the said project. The prescribed qualifications are the bare minimum; the Project Leader may restrict the number of candidates called for interview based on higher qualifications/experience. No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview. The number of posts may increase or decrease as per Institute requirements. Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer. No interim enquiries/correspondence/communication will be entertained. Canvassing in any form or bringing any influence, political or otherwise, will be treated as a disqualification.
The selected candidate will receive monthly emoluments of Rs.77,000/- plus 9% HRA as per institutional norms.
