According to the Jharkhand Technical Education Service Rules, 2024, there is no minimum age limit for candidates to apply. The maximum age limit for applying is 65 years or less. The examination fee for candidates belonging to Unreserved, Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Extremely Backward Classes (Schedule-I) and Backward Classes (Schedule-II) is Rs.600 (Six Hundred) only. The examination fee for Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste candidates of Jharkhand State is Rs.150/- (One Hundred Fifty) only. Disabled candidates (minimum 40% relevant disability) are exempted from examination fee. After document verification, amongst the candidates present in document verification, 03 times candidates against each post will be called for interview. Selection of candidates will be done as per the Merit list prepared as per Marks obtained for Academic Record/Achievements and Interview as per the Table above. The process of selection of Lecturer in Polytechnics shall involve the inviting of the application developed by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC), based on the Assessment Criteria and Methodology guidelines set out in Table of clause 8 of advertisement and reprints of all significant publications of the candidates provided that the publications submitted by the candidate have been published during the qualifying period. The Commission shall prepare a merit list in order of preference furnished by the candidate and on the basis of vacancies and reservation roster and shall send recommendation to the appointing authority Final merit list shall be prepared from the aggregate marks obtained in both academic and interview stages. In the event of total marks obtained from educational qualifications, interview and experience being the same, candidates having higher marks in Post Graduation will be placed higher in the final merit list. In the event of candidate having same educational qualifications marks, candidate who is older in age according to the date of birth will be placed higher in the final merit list. Note - The number of posts may increase or decrease depending on the outcome of the judgments passed in case no. 3419/2020 (Anand Kumar Dalai vs. State of Jharkhand and others), 525/2016 (Dr. Pankaj Kumar vs. State of Jharkhand and others), 2185/2016 (Uttam Kumar vs. State of Jharkhand and others) and 1922/2017 (Bandana Kumari vs. State of Jharkhand and others) filed in the Hon'ble High Court. Note:- If any candidate attains 65 years of age during the selection process, his/her candidature will not be considered. # (a) However, if the period of continuous teaching/Post-doctoral experience is less than one year but more than six months then 01 mark shall be provided. No fractional marks to be given. (b) Need Based Teachers/Contractual Teachers recruited under the Higher and Technical Education Department, Government of Jharkhand will get 01 additional mark per year of continuous teaching, upto a maximum of additional 5 marks. However, the total marks awarded to such Need Based Teachers/Contractual Teachers out of 80 for Academic record/achievements shall be capped at 80 marks. (c) The period of time taken by candidates to acquire M.Phil and/or Ph.D. Degree shall not be considered as teaching/research experience. (d) Candidates completing Ph.D. directly after B.E./B.Tech shall be awarded full marks for Post Graduation. (e) Candidates completing 5 year integrated M.E./M.Tech course where marks for B.E./B.Tech is not given separately, their marking for graduation shall be done on the basis of marks awarded for M.E./M.Tech. The candidate will ensure to submit the self-attested printed copy of the online application and clear and readable self-attested copies of all the required certificates as per clause-15(i) by registered post/speed post and by hand to the address of the Commission office “Controller of Examinations, Jharkhand Public Service Commission, Circular Road, Ranchi-834001” on the scheduled date-25.03.2026 by 5:00 PM.
