Qualifications (Female/Male Nurse ANM): 10th (Matric) pass with minimum 45% marks AND 18 months ANM training course pass. Must be registered with Jharkhand Nursing Council. Qualifications (Pharmacist/Compounder): I.Sc./10+2 (Science) pass AND Diploma in Pharmacist/Compounder course. Must be registered with Jharkhand State or other State Pharmacy Council. Qualifications (Dresser): 10th (Matric) pass AND one year training course for Dresser post from a Government recognized institution. Qualifications (X-Ray Technician): I.Sc./10+2 (Science) pass AND Diploma in X-Ray Technician course. Must be registered with Jharkhand State or other State Para Medical Council. Basic computer knowledge is essential. All certificates related to eligibility must be available by the last date of online application submission.
Female Nurse (ANM)/Male Nurse (ANM): Level-4 (₹25,500-₹81,100). Pharmacist/X-Ray Technician: Level-5 (₹29,200-₹92,300). Compounder (Mishrak): Level-2 (₹19,900-₹63,200). Dresser (Parijhapak): Level-1 (₹18,000-₹56,900).
Minimum Age Limit: 20 years. Maximum Age Limit (as per 04.01.2021 resolution): Unreserved (UR) & EWS Category: 35 years. EBC (Ann-I) & BC (Ann-II) (Male): 37 years. Female (UR, EBC Ann-I, BC Ann-II): 38 years. SC/ST (Male & Female): 40 years. Additional 10 years age relaxation for PwD candidates in all categories. Additional 5 years age relaxation for Ex-servicemen.
Examination Fee: Rs. 100/-. Fee for SC/ST candidates of Jharkhand State: Rs. 50/-. Fee is non-refundable. Payment can be made online, and the last date for payment is February 9, 2026.
Selection is based on the "Jharkhand State Jails Para Medical Workers Recruitment Combined Competitive Examination-2025", which will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The exam consists of two papers (Paper I and Paper II), except for the Dresser post which only has Paper I. Paper I is a qualifying general subject paper (General Knowledge, Hindi, English). Candidates must secure a minimum of 30% marks in Paper I to be considered in the merit list. The final merit list will be prepared by adding marks of both Paper I and Paper II (where applicable). A minimum qualifying mark in the total score is also defined for different categories (UR: 40%, SC/ST/Female: 32%, EBC-I: 34%, BC-II: 36.5%).
Posts are under the Home, Prison, and Disaster Management Department of the Jharkhand Government. Only applications submitted through the JSSC website portal will be accepted. Reservation benefits are applicable as per Jharkhand Government rules and require valid local resident/caste certificates issued by the competent authority in the prescribed formats. Candidates must upload their scanned photo and full signature during the online application process. Admit Cards will be uploaded on the website; no physical admit cards will be sent via post.
