She should be a resident of the same service village, matching the Part Number mentioned for the concerned ASHA post. Residence proof is mandatory via Ration Card or EPIC or certificate of Group-A officer. Age: General/OBC: 30–40 years. SC/ST: 22–40 years (lower age relaxation to 22 years). Age reckoned as on 01/01/2025. Educational qualification: Should be Madhyamik appeared or equivalent from any Board/Council/University recognized/registered by Central or State Government. For candidates who are Madhyamik pass or possessing higher qualification, only marks obtained in Madhyamik or equivalent examination will be considered. Marks calculation: Score is calculated on Madhyamik/Equivalent marks without Additional/Optional/Elective subjects to ensure normalization across Boards. Preference criteria: Preference to SC/ST candidates as per ASHA recruitment guidelines (age relaxation and priority in areas with higher SC/ST population). Preference also to Grade-I/Grade-II SHG members, trained dais and Link Workers where candidates have the same final score, subject to certificates from competent authorities.

Grade-I/Grade-II SHG members, trained dais and Link Workers as per guidelines. Preferences and eligibility must be certified by competent authorities such as SDO/BDO/BMOH. Candidates can be disqualified at any stage for misrepresentation of facts or documents; legal action may be taken for false information. The Sadar Sub-Divisional Level ASHA Selection Committee, Malda, reserves the right to alter modes of examination, conduct re-interview or cancel part/whole of the recruitment process at any stage.
