Qualification
-
Age Limit: 18 – 30 Years (Upper age relaxation: 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC-NCL, and as per Government rules for others).

Educational Qualification:
- Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in specified trades (Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio & TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic), OR
- Matriculation/SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the above trades, OR
- Matriculation/SSLC plus 3-year Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering (or combination), OR
- Degree in the above Engineering disciplines (in lieu of Diploma).

Medical Standard: A-1 (Physically fit in all respects, Vision 6/6 without glasses, normal colour/binocular vision, no LASIK surgery allowed).

Nationality: Indian citizen or eligible categories as per rules.
Application Form Fees

- SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / Female / Transgender / Minorities / EBC: ₹250/- (Refundable on appearing in CBT-1)

Selection Process
The selection process comprises the following stages:
- Computer Based Test (CBT) Stage-1
- Computer Based Test (CBT) Stage-2
- Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT)
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
Note: Negative marking of 1/3rd for wrong answers in CBT-1 and CBT-2.
Form Apply Process
Eligible candidates can apply online only through the official RRB application portal (www.rrbapply.gov.in) from 15th May 2026.
➢ Step 1: Create an account using mobile number and email (no changes allowed later).
➢ Step 2: Upload recent photograph, signature, and SC/ST certificate (if applicable) as per specifications.
➢ Step 3: Fill the application form, select preferred RRB and indicate Railway Zone preferences.
➢ Step 4: Pay the application fee online.
➢ Step 5: Submit the application, review the preview, and take a printout of the final form and fee receipt.
