South Western Railway Sports Quota Recruitment 2024 Notification for various Group C positions, The Indicative Advertisement was published in Employment News paper dated 18th October 2025 Issue: The South Western Railway, Hubballi invites online application from eligible candidates for filling up of 46 Group ‘C’ categories in Level-5/4 & Level-3/2 and erstwhile Group ‘D’ categories in Level-1 of the Railway Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2016 against Sports Quota (Open Advertisement) for the year 2025-26. ✔️ Between 18 and 25 years as on 01.01.2026. ✔️ No age relaxation shall be permissible.
✔️ Level-5: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline or equivalent.
✔️ Level-4: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline or equivalent (OR) Pass in 1st Year B.Sc. (Physics) or a pass in 12th (+2 stage) in Higher Secondary in Science (Physics or Maths) (OR) 12th Pass or equivalent examination from a recognised Board/University and for the skill test prescribed dictation speed of 80 words per minute duration time 10 minutes and transcription time is 50 minutes (English) and 65 minutes (Hindi).
✔️ Level-3/2: Passed 12th (+2 stage) or its equivalent examination for Non-Technical posts (OR) Matriculation Plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship/ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT (OR) 10th Standard Pass.
The minimum sports norms for recruitment of sportspersons against sport quota through Open advertisement for both (team and individual) events shall be as under:-
(a) Represented the Country in any of the Category-B Championships/events (OR) (b) At least 3rd Position in any of the Category-C Champions/events (OR) (c) At least 3rd Position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Champions. (OR) (d) At least 3rd Position in National Games organized under aegis of Indian Olympic Association. (OR) (e) At least 3rd Position in All India Inter University Championship organized under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities. (OR) (f) 1st Position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior Category).
Category-A: Olympic Games (Senior Category) Category-B: World Cup (Junior/Senior Category), World Championships (Junior/Senior Category), Asian Games (Senior Category), Commonwealth Games (Senior Category) Category-C: Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior Category), Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior Category), South Asian Federation (S AF) Games (Senior Category), USIC (World Railways) Championships (Senior Category)
✔️ ₹ 500/- for General / Other candidates. ✔️ ₹ 250/- for candidates belonging to SC / ST / Ex-Servicemen / Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes. ✔️ The fee should be paid online through Internet banking or Debit or Credit Cards.
