THSTI Research Assistant Recruitment 2026 – Overview

Essential Qualifications

• B.Sc. (Nursing) from a recognized university OR
• Graduation in health-related discipline from a recognized university OR
• Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) or ANM or equivalent from a recognised university
• Experience: One (1) year of post-qualification experience in the relevant field

Age Limit

• Maximum Age: 35 years 

Age Relaxations

• SC/ST candidates: 5 years
• OBC candidates: 3 years
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years (UR), 13 years (OBC), 15 years (SC/ST)
• Central Government servants: up to 5 years
• Institute employees: Service rendered
• Ex-servicemen: Service rendered + 3 years (minimum 6 months service required)

Desirable Qualifications

• Work experience in clinical research
• Effective communication skills to provide timely and appropriate information to study participants
• Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, investigators
• Good understanding of needs for project and job responsibilities

Key Job Responsibilities

• Collecting data on medical details in compliance with study protocol
• Completing the case report forms (CRF)
• Review and verification of completed CRFs in a timely manner
• Timely resolution of queries in data collected
• Scheduling follow-up visits and making reminder calls to parent(s)/caregiver of infant for scheduled follow-up visits
• Carrying out study activities as conveyed by the Principal Investigator (PI)
• Preparing referral of participants that require further care and consultation as per study protocol

• Note: Candidates arriving after the time slot will not be entertained.

• Project Name: Global Scales for Early Development (GSED) 2.0
• Project Title: Development of population norms for early childhood development under 36 months
• Principal Investigator: Dr. Nitya Wadhwa

Employment Terms

• Nature of Position: Short-term contract position
• Duration: Project-based (Subject to satisfactory performance)
• Extension: Extension will be granted subject to satisfactory performance and project tenure
• Regularization: No claim for regularization of employment
