The selection process includes an offline objective type written exam (300 marks, 150 questions, 2 hours, OMR-based) covering General Knowledge, General Hindi, Numerical and Mental Ability, Mental Aptitude, Intelligence, and Logical Ability. The minimum passing marks are: Unreserved 30%, EWS 25%, OBC 25%, SC/ST 20%. Candidates scoring below these marks will be disqualified. Those who qualify the written exam will be called for document verification and physical standard tests (PST), which are qualifying in nature. Physical Standard Test (PST) includes separate minimum height, chest (for males), and weight (for females) standards. A minimum chest expansion of 5 cm is mandatory for males. A Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will follow for qualified candidates. Men must complete 4.8 km in 25 minutes, and women must complete 2.4 km in 14 minutes.
