Sponsored Primary / Junior Basic Schools in the State in accordance with the provisions of "West Bengal Primary School Teachers Recruitment Rules, 2016" (amended upto date) to 13421 vacant posts of Assistant Teachers sanctioned by the Government of West Bengal in the School Education Department.

The candidate must have passed: Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
Graduation and Two Year Diploma in Elementary Education
Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) (conducted by the West Bengal Board of Primary Education adhering to the rules and principles set by NCTE)

Selection Process
For General Category Candidate : INR 600/- (₹600)
For OBC (A and B) Candidate : INR 500/-(₹500)
For SC/ ST/ EWS/ PwD Candidate : INR 300/- (₹300)
Madhyamik/ equivalent examination: 05 Marks
Higher Secondary/ equivalent examination: 10 Marks
Training as specified by NCTE: 15 Marks
Teacher Eligibility Test (TET): 05 Marks
Extra-Curricular Activities: 05 Marks
Viva-Voce/ Interview: 05 Marks
Aptitude Test/ Teaching experience in case of Para-Teacher: 05 Marks
