Candidates who have already served as Senior House Physician in any institution will not be considered for the post of Junior House Physician in any institution. Candidates terminated on genuine grounds by the authority of any institution will not be considered in any case in any institution. House Physicianship is performance-based and no candidate will be considered beyond one and half years in the particular institution. Relatively fresh candidates (recent year of passing) will be given priority during selection. Candidates who have performed Junior House Physicianship for a shorter duration will be given priority. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed Junior House Physicianship in Kayachikitsa and/or secured high marks in Kayachikitsa; otherwise aggregate final year marks will be considered. House Physicianship certificate from the head of the last attended institution will be taken into consideration during selection. Suppression of facts or submission of false statements will lead to cancellation of candidature and intimation to appropriate authority for further action.
Selection will follow the “Selection criteria for Junior House-Physician of IPGAE & R at SVSP, Kolkata” as per No. DAY/121/97/1(3), dated 20.01.1997. House Physicianship tenure will ordinarily be for one year, initially for six months, and is strictly performance-based. Priority will be given to relatively fresh graduates, candidates with shorter prior Junior House Physicianship duration, and those with Kayachikitsa Junior House Physicianship/high marks in Kayachikitsa.
